The dell xps Googlebook is a fantastic small device that is easy to bring with you everywhere. The battery lasts all day and wakes from sleep instantly. Even under load it rarely gets hot and thanks to the snapdragon processor all the android apps I installed worked just as intended. But with my large size hands typing on the device would lead to hand cramps because my palms would rest just over the edge of the device so I ended up returning it. If you have smaller hands and want a premium device that works great with android apps I do recommend this or the windows version if you need compatibility with windows apps.

This device is built extremely well and feels very premium even compared to some premium Windows laptops. I do love the Android feel to it which allows me to run my Android apps natively and having a desktop level Chrome is perfect for the laptop form factor. There are some downsides to the software but being such a new product I can see a bright future where each update will bring even more smoothness and features. Very happy with my purchase!

The compact XPS design and 2.5K touchscreen are appealing, and I’m especially excited about what this Googlebook represents: a new direction for Google in desktop computing. The idea of bringing Google’s software, AI, and connected ecosystem together in a thoughtfully designed laptop has a lot of potential. I enjoy trying new technology, and I’m happy to support this new direction. Building a great platform takes time, and I look forward to seeing the software become more polished, the app ecosystem grow, and the connections between devices become even more useful. I believe Google has the expertise to make this a great computing experience, and I hope it continues listening to users and investing in the details that matter in everyday use. For me, this is a promising beginning. I’m optimistic about its future and excited to see how Google and Dell continue to improve it.

I used Windows for 20 years and then moved to ChromeOS a few years back. This Googlebook is nicer than any windows or chromeos device I have ever used. It is so light and premium. People stop me to ask what it is. As an Android phone user, it has everything I need in a laptop. It works seemlessly with my Pixel phone. This was always an issue with Windows. Now I can start something on my phone and quickly transition to my laptop to finish it. And the gemini features are very nicely built-in to the OS, not too in your face, but ready when you need it. Rambler and Magic Pointer are very helpful features that I find myself using most days. Battery life is great too. In summary, if you are like me and use Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Android Messaging, Whatsapp, Netflix, Chrome, Youtube, Gemini... this laptop has everything you need and more

I had to return this Googlebook after just 5 days of use. As a 12 year Chromebook user, I really wanted to enjoy the new OS but Google was not ready for primetime. Dell did a very good job of building a gorgeous device. The build is very solid, amazing trackpad and keyboard. The screen is nice at 500 nits of brightness but I wish they went the OLED route as the other Googelbook manufacturers did. I was disappointed with the battery life the most. The screen was indeed bright at 500 nits max but that made the battery last 5-6 hours at best. If you try to lower the brightness by one or two clicks it seems like the brightness drops for 500+ nits to 200. They need a software update to fix that. But first and foremost, Google needs to smooth out the OS. I miss my Chromebook and have switched back to it until Google stops this device from feeling like a giant Android Tablet. At this price point I expected a lot better.

I love Google Book. However, as someone who bought it primarily for the fact that it could be used both as a personal device and a work device (much like Android phones can be used), I am disheartened to find out that if it uses company portal or Intune device policies, you're unable to use your work apps in a separate environment as you would on your phone. For that reason and that reason alone, I am returning the Google Book, but I hope in the future I can buy one again. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a device for personal computing, and has an Android phone. It's the "Macbook" for Droid users.

I've used Chromebooks for over a decade. This is the nicest hardware I've ever seen. Google book OS has a few rough edges but it's getting better everyday. It already covers my Chromebook use cases with better phone connection and android app support.

It took 2 weeks of updates, but now this is a great laptop for the Google/Android environment, together with my Pixel 11 and Pixel Watch 5 work great together.

The best thing I can say is the hardware is great. The software is just not there yet. Unless your a hardcore Google fan you should probably wait until they work out all the software bugs.
